This is a finished folded star pin cushion that is filled with ground walnut shells. It has a hefty feeling and stays put on a table, versus being so light it slides around.  The thickness is enough for a normal pin to stick into the filling and not poke through the bottom. The fabric is 100% cotton and is lined with interfacing.
